How to plan a steel/aluminum staircase, railing and/or balcony project?
The identity of the great cities of North America is shaped by these structures of steel and wrought iron built and installed by our ancestors. Known for durability and malleability, still used today in most new construction projects. The staircases and railings represent freedom, freshness, and above all luxury.
Forgex Group is a company specialized in this field for almost 10 years now. The company is run by a young, dynamic management team that is very well-informed about the current market. In order to facilitate exchanges and the smooth running of projects with the future supplier of steel/aluminum products, the team came up with a small guide.
Stay proactive, and most importantly, come prepared.
Taking clients seriously is difficult when clients submit large projects that must be delivered in the next 2-3 weeks. There are a lot of steps before one can simply start the manufacturing process. From the selection of models, to the site visit, followed by the design and approval of the drawings to finally reaching the manufacturing stage. Allow at least 8 weeks before installation. Beware of very short deadlines… This may result in additional costs at some point in the future.
Customer reviews & supplier websites
The look and feel of a company’s website are a good reflection of how the company is organized in day-to-day operations. This is the best showcase to give people a general idea of who they are dealing with. The photos show the transparency of the company. Google and Facebook reviews speak volumes about the customer experience.
The Forgex Group is very proud to say that the group has teams of welders, carpenters, and painters, which allows Forgex to handle projects from A to Z with the utmost quality. Also specialized in renovation projects, Forgex Group are used to meeting all kinds of special needs.
1. It is recommended that customers choose a few suppliers to compare the quotes and pay attention to the response time, the quality of service given by the representative, and the specification of the quote. Indeed, the quote should include the selected models, time frame, installation methods, location, and measurements.
2. Make sure to check the supplier’s licenses & warranties before considering the price. There is up to 30% difference between the quotes? A representative will be in a much better position to answer questions and to explain cost estimates. If a representative has simply written: “railing installation: $25,000,” this might be a red flag.
Lastly, we hope that these tips will be helpful in future projects. Stairs, railings, and balconies are often the centerpieces of buildings, and the focal point at first glance. Do not hesitate to contact the Forgex Group to learn more:
