Celebrating the company’s second float in the 2012 Rose Parade, Dole Food Company, Inc. (NYSE: DOLE) has officially launched the “Preserving Paradise” sweepstakes on Facebook. As part of the sweepstakes, one lucky DOLE fan will win a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride on the DOLE float which celebrates the natural beauty of Thailand.
As people around the world turn their attention to Pasadena and the Rose Parade, one DOLE fan will take in the highly anticipated floral floats and boisterous marching bands from the best seat in the house—the DOLE Rose Parade float, “Preserving Paradise.” Making the experience all the more magical, three guests of the grand prize winner will be given seats in the grandstands on Colorado Boulevard as a VIP guest of DOLE to watch alongside the thousands of parade attendees and millions of viewers at home as the winner makes their way down the parade route!
The DOLE “Preserving Paradise” sweepstakes offers the exciting chance to win a four day trip to Los Angeles, Dec. 30, 2011 to Jan. 3, 2012, to attend the 2012 Rose Parade and explore the city. To enter the sweepstakes, simply “Like” DOLE on Facebook and fill out the sweepstakes entry form at www.Facebook.com/DOLE. Open to anyone the age of 18 or older who is a legal U.S. resident.
Making the sweepstakes even sweeter, 100 weekly prize winners will be randomly selected to win a 2012 DOLE Rose Parade Limited Edition Commemorative Pin from October 3, 2011 through December 2, 2011, each week for eight weeks. A total of 800 DOLE Facebook fans will win a pin honoring this year’s parade.
As the reigning Sweepstakes award winner, DOLE is vying to become the only entry in the past 20 years to win the Sweepstakes award in their first and consecutive years. DOLE’s second Rose Parade float celebrates Thailand’s rich diversity of nature that can only exist with responsible, sustainable growing and operating practices.
DOLE is celebrating the unsurpassed beauty of Thailand, one of the many areas where DOLE grows their fruit, with this floral salute and is honored to join Thailand in conserving Earth’s most precious natural resources and protecting endangered species. Traditional Thai dancers will flank the “Preserving Paradise” float which features an opulent royal palace, a majestic elephant, whimsical birds and butterflies, life-like leopards and tigers, and of course, fresh and healthy fruit grown by DOLE just for the Rose Parade.
