For many U.S. athletes, the coronavirus pandemic isn't the only factor that may keep them from getting to Tokyo for the Olympic Games in July. The cost to go for the gold can run upward of $50,000 when you factor in travel, equipment, competition fees and training, leaving many struggling financially.
