RPG Digest includes series that celebrates the birthday of famous writers.
MEBANE, N.C. - Aug. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Publisher of Righter Books and Righter Quarterly Review, Gene Alston, launched the RPG Digest in August 2018.

The September edition will shortly be available by link from Alston's new web-site It is also available by e-mail as a pdf document.

"This is a collection of interesting humor, commentary, ideas, poetry, art and whatever else the writers have in mind," said Alston.  The intent is to provide informative and relaxed reading, with the exclusion of political commentary.

The August edition opened with a column on Creativity - Quotes from Famous Writers, by Rita Berman, and included articles by other North Carolina writers whose books had been published by Righter Books in the past ten years.

Elizabeth Silance Ballard, author of Three Letters from Teddy and other Stories, contributed "A Jubilee Year", Randy Bittle, "In Search of Consciousness", Michael Warren, "My Lady of the Hollies", and Tim Whealton, "How to Get What You Really Want!"

Alston is a columnist, literary critic and author of numerous books including the ten-book series "The Adventures of Hammer Spade," about a private investigator and bail bondsman.  His most recent book is "Time Traveler", and like all of Righter Books is available on

The upcoming September RPG Digest will include "F Scott Fitzgerald's Life and Works", the first of a series by Rita Berman celebrating the birthday of famous writers.
