Sexiest Artist Alive Javier Gomez Signs Second Licensed Photography Deal With Luxury Brand BVLGARI


Photographer, artist, and designer Javier Gomez releases his second licensed photography deal with Italian luxury goods brand BVLGARI. For the second year in a row Italian brand BLVGARI also known in North America as Bulgari commissioned Gomez to capture a collection of photographs to commemorate the company’s 130th anniversary. The photos were recently released in Life in BLVGARI Roma lifestyle book – only available in BLVGARI properties and hotels worldwide. Gomez traveled to Rome to document details of Roman culture—visual patterns he refers to as “sacred geometry”— in his unique, abstract style for BLVGARI.

“My time in Rome working on this project for BVLGARI was unbelievable,” said Gomez. “To be surrounded day and night by incredible architecture and gorgeous works of art was an amazing experience. Deciding what to photograph when everything you see has such deep meaning was a challenge.”

The collection includes photography of a wide range of subject matter including artifacts, architecture, monuments, and sculptures. The common theme among the photos is repetition that creates a surreal sense of flow and movement.

A native of Panama, Gomez studied photography at New York University and the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and now resides in New York City. He is known internationally both for his skill as an artist and as an interior designer. A luxury yet affordably priced bedding collection and rug line that he developed will be launched this spring.

A rising star in the global art community, Gomez was named by Maison & Objet Americas as one of its 2016 Rising Talents. He has also been named “Sexiest Artist Alive” by People Magazine.
