LAGOS, Nigeria - Aug. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The second edition of Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference will be held from 7-9 October 2015 at the Eko International Convention & Exhibition Center in Lagos, Nigeria. Beauty Africa is the continent's largest event dedicated to beauty, medical aesthetics and wellness. The event stages the latest developments and opportunities within Africa's beauty, medical aesthetics and wellness sector and provided a strategic platform to establish successful partnerships within Nigeria and beyond.
As manufacturers scour the globe for new growth opportunities, few markets offer greater long-term potential than Nigeria. With a huge consumer market, growing economy and increasingly urbanised population base, Nigeria represents one of the biggest opportunities for the beauty and wellness industry in Africa.
Economists predict that by 2016, Nigeria’s young yet increasingly sophisticated population will drive industry sales to $620.2m. This is not farfetched as 77 per cent of Nigerian women use skin enhancement products - the highest percentage in the world. In 2014, the industry reportedly generated over $35 billion with makeup owning a market share of 17 per cent. In addition there is also an expected market growth of over $42 billion in 2015 due to increase in the construction of shopping malls, beauty, wellness, spa and aesthetics centres across different cities in Nigeria.
“Beauty Africa Exhibition and Conference showcases the latest brands, products and services in the beauty, wellness and aesthetics industry. Attendees benefited from the opportunity to network and do business with some of the biggest names both locally and internationally,” commented Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa life Sciences Exhibitions.
The 2015 edition of Beauty Africa brings you more content, more expert speakers and more knowledge. The international and regional speakers will host simultaneous hour long live demos, which will showcase the very latest techniques and methods in the field of makeup, hair and skin. Utilising live models, the speakers will demonstrate current practices within the Nigerian beauty industry. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover the latest learnings in the global beauty industry with an esteemed line up of international makeup artists and celebrity hair stylists.
